In 2011, the year Atlancis was founded, so was the Open Compute Project (OCP): a project started by Facebook to design the world’s most energy efficient data centre, one that could handle unprecedented scale at the lowest possible cost. Along with Intel and Rackspace, Goldman Sachs and Andy Bechtolsheim the Open Compute Project hoped to create a movement in the hardware space that would bring about the same kind of creativity and collaboration seen in open source software.
As the pioneer of OCP in Africa, Atlancis is working with Enterprises, Solutions Providers, Data Centres and Service Providers to implement the OCP-based solutions that will very positively impact business operations. Atlancis provides solutions built on Open Compute hardware and software that have a very positive and relevant impact on African businesses and consumers, empowering them to be more competitive on the global stage.
As a member of the Open Compute Foundation, and Africa’s first OEM, Atlancis is able to work with ODMs directly to design and build African ICT solutions.
